Evaporator

The evaporator of a compression refrigeration system is a heat exchanger which absorbs the heat from the medium to be cooled and transfers it to the working fluid. The working fluid evaporates and cools significantly below the outside temperature in the course of this. Often the evaporator is designed as a pipe coil or as a plate heat exchanger.
