Corporate history

HOFFMANN Maschinen- und Apparatebau GmbH

From the early days in Braunschweig to an international presence

Engineer and qualified toolmaker Georg Hoffmann started his own business in the early 1970s in a proverbial wooden shed in Braunschweig, Germany. Until then, he had been an industrial representative for imported oil mist separators. Georg Hoffmann had seen enough metalworking companies in Germany from the inside to know what they lacked: filter systems that filter and re-cool between 150 and 20,000 litres of oil per minute in the micrometre range.

Today, HOFFMANN has over 200 employees, including 24 vocational trainees in seven different professions. All systems and components are manufactured under the strictest quality control on an area covering more than 30,000 square metres. International partners guarantee reliable customer support across the globe.
